My name is Danica Talon and I am a 2016 Fordham University graduate whose career focused on social media marketing and journalism. During my college career, I represented Fordham University Philippine-American Club as Miss Philippines 2015, became one of the first Chapter Leaders for REACT to FILM and worked my way up to becoming a beauty editor and head makeup artist for the school's first online magazine, FLASH. I​ had the privilege of working for multiple established companies like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, ELLE.com and Allure where I obtained insight into the digital world. Taking classes like Digital Design for New Media, Basic Feature Writing and On-line Journalism also helped enforce skills in social media, research and journalism. This background has taught me the importance of a company’s branding and connecting with the public. Understanding one’s audience may seem simple, but I have learned it is easier said than done.
